Teen in Breathalyzer Costume Arrested for DUI

On Behalf of | Nov 3, 2010 | Underage DUI |

In weird-but-true Halloween news, a nineteen-year-old man dressed in a breathalyzer costume was arrested early Monday morning for drunk driving. According to The Smoking Gun, The man had been out celebrating Halloween and was still wearing his costume when he was pulled over and arrested by Nebraska police.

Police pulled over the teen after they allegedly spotted him driving erratically through Lincoln. The teen was charged with underage possession of alcohol and underage DUI. Police searched his truck and found a bottle of vodka and a beer. His blood-alcohol level was more than twice Nebraska’s .08 limit.

The Nebraska man was not the only person to be arrested for DUI while wearing the unfortunate costume. Early Sunday morning, an 18-year-old college student in Ohio was also arrested for drunk driving while wearing a breathalyzer costume. He was pulled over for driving the wrong way on a one-way street. The teenager also had a blood-alcohol level more than twice the legal limit, though those under 21 can be arrested for DUI with negligible amounts of alcohol in their blood (.02 in Georgia).
