Being charged with a DUI is a frightening experience. You are not sure what will happen to you and whether you are going to be able to clear your name. You also start to think about the logistics, such as how you will get around while you sort things out, what affect this will have on your insurance, and what punishment you might have to face. According to the BBC, researchers at several universities in the U.S. conducted tests on 95 teens ages 16 to 19.

The 54-year-old and a passenger in his car also suffered injuries and both were taken to a hospital.

Georgia mom faces multiple traffic violations and DUI

Drunk driving charges are serious on their own, but many factors can make the penalties even more severe. For example, when police suspect that alcohol contributed to an accident, or if police suspect a driver of being intoxicated while transporting children, that driver could face strict scrutiny and more serious consequences if convicted of DUI or other related charges.
